The hotel is located on the famous Karl Johansgate, within view of the royal palace, parliament, national theatre and within walking distance of public transport, restaurants and shops.
The classically elegant rooms are large and in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. They are furnished individually with beautiful antiques and a tasteful colour scheme. The Grand cafe is a popular meeting place for local people and serves light meals. The palin conit serves lunch and light meals. Julius firtner is a gourmet restaurant of the highest standard, and the etoile bar and buffet serves international cuisine. There is also the bonanza night club, that provides live music and food until 2am.
The hotel is a traditional building, built in 1874 and has been well maintained. The lobby is large and impressive, with marble floors and pillars, antique furniture, chandeliers and an adjoining seating area. This hotel combines modern luxury with traditional atmosphere to perfection. |
